Our School Council are elected by their class members each year with one representative from each class from Year 1 to Year 6, as well as the Head Boy and Head Girl and their deputies. Our School Council is an important element in developing pupils' experience of democracy.
School Council meets on a termly basis when an agenda is drawn up by children and staff with topics for discussion, decisions on fund-raising activities and how these funds are spent. Meetings also serve as an opportunity for children to give feedback from their classes regarding ideas and the school improvement plan.
Throughout the year our School Council have an important role as they will be called upon to help the development of the school improvement plan, feedback information to their classes and share pupils ideas with school adults. They may also be asked to represent the school on occasions such as official presentations or in escorting visitors.
