What has been your favourite thing you’ve learnt about in History this year?

  • Designing an outfit for an old-fashioned explorer.
  • All about the great fire of London
  • We liked nursing history, about Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole.
  • We liked Vlad’s story about the Great Fire of London

Have you got a top history fact you’d like to share?

  • The toilets used to be outside.
  • You had to bring the bath inside and heat the water up from the fire.
  • The pants were made of wool.
  • People made gloves from reindeer fur.

If you could learn about any part of history what would you like to learn?

  • Year 1 - When Mum and Dad were little.
  • Year 2 - to learn more about London’s history and the history of the world.

What does the word History mean to you?

  • It means something ancient.
  • Something that’s already happened.
  • Things from the past
  • People who’ve lived through it.

What has been your favourite history topic at SAPS?

  • Dinosaurs!
  • Mayans
  • Ancient Greeks, especially the gods. We liked the dress up days, the play and the drama

What are your top history facts?

  • That Ancient Greece had the world’s smartest people like Socrates and Plato.
  • The Ancient Greeks invented democracy.
  • You used to tip your wee out the window in Victorian London
  • In the Blitz you had to cover all the lights and make sure that your windows were blacked out.

If you could learn about any part of history what would you like to study?

  • What the early humans were like.
